Trenchless technology includes a large family of methods utilized for installing and rehabilitating underground utility systems with minimal surface disruption and destruction resulting from excavation.
Micro-Tunneling Research Institute -- A focused portion of the Earth Mechanics Institute (EMI) at the Colorado School of Mines. EMI has been performing basic and applied research and engineering for all types of excavation systems for 25 years.
Missouri Western State College Department of Engineering Technology Trenchless Technology Institute (TTI) -- The Trenchless Technology Institute (TTI) offers annual conferences in pipeline design, construction & maintenance and trenchless technology. TTI also offers operator certification and training programs for different trenchless methods.
Partnership for the Advancement of Infrastructure and Its Renewal [PAIR] -- The Partnership for the Advancement of Infrastructure and Its Renewal (PAIR) is an ongoing initiative, with the potential to affect a broad cross-section of infrastructure-related issues and concerns. The documents on PAIR that are posted on this Web site reflect the evolving nature of PAIR. Ideas that were discussed during early workshops may have been improved upon or refocused, reflecting changing infrastructure needs and priorities.

University of Bradford; Trenchless Technology Post Graduate Course and Research -- The Department is investigating the performance of polymeric and cementitious pipe linings using a combination of laboratory testing, mathematical modelling and full-scale field trials; in addition, time-dependent material properties for the sophisticated new materials used for this work are required. The geotechnics group has a wide-ranging research programme in soil mechanics, geotechnical problems involving saturated and unsaturated soils, tunnelling, trenchless technology, rock mechanics and geo-environmental engineering; with strong links with industry and international research groups.
