Minnesota -- The Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) was established in 1922 at Glen Lake Sanatorium with a membership of ten to fifteen occupational therapists. Its purpose then, as well as today, was to promote practice, education and research within the profession of occupational therapy.
